March 23: Stazio Crit - information coming soon!
Our race will be at the ballfields again this year! We're still working out all the final details, but it should be similar to the information from last year, provided below.
March 23: Stazio Crit - Buff Style!
It's the second year for CU Cycling's Stazio Crit! Last year was a big hit with nearly 500 racers! We're hoping to improve that number this year. One important note: Sunday, March 10 is the first day of daylight savings time, so be sure to set your clocks ahead an hour!
Pre-register for $30 on PreRace.com. Pre-reg closes at Noon on Friday, March 8. Day-of registration is $35, and closes 40 minutes before each category's start. Juniors race free, collegiate categories are $21, and all other USAC categories are $30 in advance. Collegiate racers doing both RMCCC and USAC races, the second race is $15. All prizes are spread 3 deep.
Juniors 15-18 race free in your respective senior categories, but you will not be scored separately.

A classic 1.1 mile crit course with 4 fast sweeping turns - though more technical than our old research park crit. There is also a 62-foot hill that will wear you out, it's going to be a great test of early season fitness. Here's the Strava Segment
Ride your bike! You can take the Boulder Creek Path east to the Goose Creek Greenway, and follow signs to the Stazio Ball Fields. If you opt to drive, come from 63rd and Arapahoe, drive north until the road closure. Wait for the officer to wave you in to the parking lot. Registration is by the Start/Finish about half-way around the course. DO NOT enter from Valmont, cars will be turned away.

USAC Permit 2013-978. USAC licenses and BRAC memberships are required. USAC 1-Day licenses are $10, and BRAC 1-day memberships are $5. Medical support provided by the University of Colorado Boulder.
No timing chips will be used this year. As usual, there is a 15-minute protest period after results are posted (at the registration area). Prizes and results are final after that. Free laps till 6 laps to go, wheels in - wheels out.
As you can see, we've adjusted the schedule from last year. All of the categories filled to capacity, and there were some complaints about the Women's 4's going at 8am with the Junior 15-18, and the Men's 3's having the option of crushing the souls of the 4's and 5's, or suffering with the P12. Hopefully this year's schedule is an improvement, and leaves enough room before categories fill up. Let us know your thoughts either at registration or by email.
